Tuki lodges complaint against alleged deed agreement
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: Former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has lodged a complaint at the Itanagar Police Station on Wednesday against "false and fabricated deed" credited to him.
There has been an allegation circulated on social networking sites that former CM sold the post of Chief Ministership of Arunachal Pradesh at the cost of Rs.60 crores by executing the deed on 15/07/2016.
The complaint is against "false and fabricated deed of 15.07-
The deed is false, fabricated and a handiwork to assassinate my political career and also to tarnish my image in the society at large, said the former Chief Minister.
"The contents of such false and fabricated documents have brought irreparable loss in my political career…has tarnished, defamed and maligned my name and has brought down my image and reputation in the eyes of public causing me irreparable loss and injury", he said.

The former CM has asked the police to register a criminal case and thoroughly investigate the matter as well as book the culprits under the relevant provisions of law.
APCC president Padi Richo said that uploading of such false and fabricated document with baseless and unfounded allegations is an offence under the law and also the same amounts to an offence under cyber law, which needs to be thoroughly probed and enquired.
APCC has sought the arrest of culprits involved in such illegal activities.

Make ALG operational for civilian aircraft :AYA
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) has appealed to Chief Minister, Pema Khandu to initiate early steps to ensure that the Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) at Ziro is made operational for civilian aircraft soon.
A team of AYA members led by its President, Taku Chatung had on Wednesday, met Chief Minister, Pema Khandu and apprised him about various issues concerning the ALG at Ziro. The Association has vehemently opposed the use of Advanced Landing Ground exclusively for military and urged the GoAP to uphold the MoU which incorporated both civilian and military use of the ALG.
The association also sought immediate construction of drainage outside ALG Ziro, the absence of which, it claimed has been causing much problem for the people living in the vicinity of the ALG.
'We felt cheated by Indian Air Force, for they promised us to construct it a long back but did not do so once the ALG was completed', it claimed.
The Chief Minister on his part assured to look into the issue at the earliest.

NSCN(K) cadre killed in encounter
KOHIMA, Mar 01: An NSCN(K) cadre was killed during an encounter with security forces on February 27 at Tirap district, said Defence Press Information Bureau.
The Khonsa battalion of Assam Rifles under DAO division laid a trap at 6.30 pm on February 27 following reports that a group of cadres of the outfit was carrying out extortion in Muktwa and Lyangche area.
On seeing the group, the security forces asked them to surrender; but the cadres challenged the army and opened fire.
The army retaliated in which one of the cadres was killed on the spot and the rest managed to flee into the nearby jungle, the press statement claimed.
A 7.65 mm Pistol with ammunition and IED was recovered from the slain cadre, who has been identified as Self Style Cpl Wahang Sumyen.
Army has launched massive search operations to nab other cadres.
GOS prepares vision document

Protest against attacks on RSS
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: Hundreds of people subscribing to nationalistic ideology belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayemsevak Sangh participated in a peaceful protest march organized under the aegis of the Arunachal Jagaran Manch against the killings of several social and political workers in Kerala from IG Park to Rajbhawan here on Wednesday.
Arunachal Jagran Manch (AJM) led by its coordinators Padmeshwari Jamoh and Tamchi Kame submitted a memorandum to the President of India Pranab Mukherjee through the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, PB Archarya. However, due to absence of the Governor, the memorandum was received by his Secretary.

the protest is against the recurring assaults, gruesome murders of RSS-
'The violence by CPM in Kerala has a long and painful history, at least 51 social workers have been killed in last 18 months under CPM government in Kerala,' he said.
'It is the paramount duty of the state to provide safety and security to the people of the state without discrimination but CPM government in Kerala has failed to do so which has compelled us to seek the intervention of the President of India,' stated the former MLA.
AJM, in its memorandum asserted that houses of various RSS and BJP workers at Kanjikode of Palakkad District, Kerala were attacked and set on fire. Even women belonging to Scheduled and OBC communities were not spared and killed in politically motivated attacks by CPM arsonists.
Reportedly, in several districts including East Siang, Tirap and Lohit, various civil society organization's with nationalist outlook submitted similar memorandum to the President of India though the office of district collectors.
At Roing, the RSS and BJP workers of Lower Dibang Valley district condemned the incidents in their strongest term and said that it was politically motivated one.
Blaming CPM (I) for the gruesome attack, they submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner, appealing the President to take immediate action to stop the violence and establish peace in the state. They also mentioned that request have been made to Kerala Government to take necessary steps to announce rehabilitation package and compensation to the family members of the victims and also for those injured in the incident.
At Pasighat, the Arunachal Vikas Manch of Pasighat unit organized a peaceful protest march from High Region to Deputy Commissioner Office.
Later, a team led by youth activists Vikas Rava and Daniel Mibang submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner. More than 100 members from every section of the society, including youth, senior citizens and women participated in the protest march.
At Aalo, RSS unit of Aalo under the banner of Nagarik Manch Aalo strongly condemned the attack on RSS and BJP workers in Kerela and expressed solidarity with the family of victims.
Advocacy on minimum standards of clinical establishment
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: One day advocacy meeting on Minimum Standards of Clinical Establishments and Reorientation Training of CEA staff was held in Naharlagun on Feb 27.
The aim of the meeting was to impart knowledge about Minimum Standards of all categories of Clinical Establishments (CEs) to all DMOs cum DRAs, State & District Coordinators, DEOs and Stakeholders. Every district has to implement the Minimum Standards in every CEs. There was reorientation training on registration of CEA staff as well during the same day.
Director Health Services Dr.Moji Jini emphasized about the implementation of the Minimum Standards of CEs to ensure the quality of health care services in the Clinical Establishments. He also stressed upon the transparency of the activities of the CEA staff during inspection and registration of CEs.
DDHS (PH) cum SNO, APSC, CEA Dr.T.Lollen, stressed upon the maintenance of records of Clinical Establishments which has to be submitted quarterly to District Registering Authority (DRA) of the concern district.

ITANAGAR, Mar 1: The Principal Secretary to Government of Arunachal Pradesh has directed all the state government departments to ensure purchase of only quality products in all government procurements.

ITANAGAR, Mar 1: The East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) has expressed anguish over misuse of social media like Facebook and Whatsapp to defame a Seppa based school. In a release EKSWCO stated that a photograph of Teenage Dream Mission School, Seppa has been allegedly photoshopped by some miscreants as Porn Star Dream Mission School Seppa which has been shared in various social media forums.
"The EKSWCO and the owner of school felt insulted and hurt by the malicious act. The school is one of the reputed private schools in East Kameng District imparting education to poor and needy children of the district as well as children from Kampu Hollen Orphanage and Puroik community, informed EKSWCO.
EKSWCO has warned to take both legal and social action in this regard.
Mutchu distributes dustbins to Mayu GP

ROING, Mar 1: Eighteen dustbins were distributed to Adarsh (model) Mayu GP by local MLA Mutchu Mithi at a simple programme organized at Kera Ati Rehko here on Tuesday.
The dustbins were sponsored by Navayuga under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme and installed at different locations under Mayu GP.
Addressing the gathering, Mutchu assured scheme for construction of internal road at Kera Ati village. He also informed that necessary instruction has been given to the concern department to provide electricity to new settlements in the village.
The GP was adopted by Rajya Sabha Memebr Mukut Mithi under the SAGY in 2014.

Pregnant women urged to avail benefit under PMSMA
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: Senior Medical Officer of the East Kameng District Hospital, Dr S K Suman has called upon the pregnant women to enroll their names in health centers to avail the facilities provided under Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), a new central Govt scheme launched on June 9, 2016 with the objective of boosting the health care facilities for the pregnant women, especially the poor. He was addressing the gathering at the special awareness campaign on "RMNCH + A and Mission Indradhanush" organized by Directorate of Field Publicity, Seppa Unit at Pabua village, in the district on Tuesday.
While disseminating the basic information about mother and child health and Mission Indradhanush, Dr Suman also stressed on compulsory antenatal check up of the pregnant women. He advised the participating pregnant women to go for family planning. Dr Suman and his medical staff also gave a demonstration on proper hand washing.
Another resource person Chello Renew Yangfo, who is also ICDS Supervisor, Seppa, explained about the importance of food and nutrition for adolescent and pregnant women and advised one and all to be careful while feeding the child and choosing proper food items of nutritious value. She also asked the pregnant women to visit hospital for medical check up before and after delivery and also to maintain balance diet during pregnancy period.
Speaking on the occasion Pabua village Anchal Samity Member, Natung Sangyu lauded both Directorate of Field Publicity and health department in the district for organizing such educative and informative awareness programme in their village. He further requested all the participants to disseminate information about the health schemes launched by the Govt for the benefit of pregnant women.
Other speakers included headmaster Abing Hissang and Rama Kamsa of DFP, Seppa unit.
This was followed by Healthy baby Show cum health camp, quiz competition, culture programme by the local artists and distribution of prizes to the winners. During the health camp more than 40 children between the age group 0 to 1 year were checked up.

Director Riba retires
ITANAGAR, Mar 1: Director of Women and Child Development Department RT Riba on Tuesday attained service superannuation. To mark the occasion, a programme was organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Child Development Project Officers' Welfare Association (APCDPOWA) at Golden Jubilee Banquet Hall, Itanagar.
Officers from various projects and headquarter came to bid her farewell. She is the longest serving female Director of any department in the state with more than 10 years of service as Director of Women and Child Development Department, informed APCDPOWA.

Trader’s death mourned
NAHARLAGUN, Mar 01: The business community here downed their shutters on Wednesday at the initiative of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries to mourn the sudden and untimely demise of prominent trader Ashok Chakraborty.
Chakraborty, who had suffered a severe heart stroke on Sunday last, was rushed to GNRC, Guwahati after being treated at Tomo Riba State Hospital here & RKM Hospital, Itanagar but passed away there around 11.20 am after serving the state for over 40 years.
Chakraborty, 65, who is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son, was most active member of Community Hall Dugra Puja Committee.
